Rhodes Railway Station
Caldis Cook Group were commissioned to develop design and documentation services for this new station. The public are directed onto an expansive overhead concourse with a curved ceiling form. There is an emphasis on the use of glass leading to a series of brilliantly lit connected spaces. The roof forms are a mixture of curved and flat overlapping sections, with deep and expressive overhangs. There is a repeated theme in the use of colour-backed glass in vivid orange, leaving a lasting impression.
