Design and Documentation 

The Newcastle Interchange will be the main transport hub for Wickham where customers can connect with trains, buses, taxis, the new light rail and to also take advantage of facilities for cyclists and car drop-off and pick-ups.

The design incorporates a generous covered forecourt to facilitate seamless transfer between transport modes while providing rest areas; retail outlets and passenger amenities. The high-level space frame canopy provides weather protection to the forecourt while integrating landscape elements that have been incorporated to define and assist in identifying both the enclosure and entrance.

The Interchange design has fulfilled the design objectives as followed:

Identity - by developing a high-quality design that reflects the civic and gateway roles of the Interchange; Reflecting the unique Newcastle location and character; Creating a strong relationship to the harbour and waterfront open space network; and acknowledging Indigenous history and European heritage with integrated artworks on the site.

Croydon Railway Station was part of TfNSW Transport Access Program (TAP), that was aimed to provide a better experience for public transport customers across the State by ensuring infrastructure improvements. TfNSW awarded the Design and Construction Contract of Croydon Railway Station Accessibility Upgrade Project to John Holland Construction Pty Ltd, who engaged CCG Architects to produce architectural and Heritage Architectural Services.

The recently upgraded and completed project at Croydon Railway Station reopened its services to the public on December 2017. CCG Architects and John Holland provided design and construction to the upgrade of the railway station. The project consisted and aimed to provide easy access for all commuters. The installation of two (2) new lifts to platforms 3, 4 and 5 allows for disability access from street level to platform level. A new station entrance was designed on Paisley Road, Hennessy Street and Mata Street to assist in this TAP Program.

The $35 million upgrade to Newtown Railway Station opened to the public early on Monday 29th October 2012. The new station has made a huge and positive impact upon the community and town centre within a significant urban and heritage design context. The station upgrade includes:

A new centrally located overbridge concourse with new ticketing office, staff facilities and public toilets; New lifts and stairs to the platform and a new entry to Thomas Street, which adaptively re0using the heritage listed tram offices and King Street buildings; A new public forecourt and elegant covered walkway between King Street and a new station building; Interpretative heritage signage of the existing tram trachs and an interpretative public art wall.

Leura Railway Station was part of the TfNSW Transport Access Program (TAP) which was to provide better experience for public transport customers across the station by ensuring infrastructure improvements are delivered in a coordinated and integrated way.

A newly designed concourse and entry was conducted and designed by CCG Architects where the installation of a new lift from ground level to platform level provides easy access for wheel chair and pram vertical circulation. The Railway Station was also provided with a new canopy to shelter commuters along with platform level.

The upgraded station has also been added with a taxi stand and Kiss n' Ride along Railway Parade. To provide easy access from the services an installation of a ramp was integrated from the drop off/pick up zone to the concourse of the station.

Jannali Railway Station Upgrade is part of the TfNSWprogram providing better experience for public transport customers across the State by ensuring infrastructure improvements are delivered in a coordinated and integrated way.

The newly upgraded and completed project at Jannali Railway Station reopened its services to the public in December 2017. CCG Architects and Gartner Rose provided design and construction to the upgrade of the Railway Staiton. Daily commuters at Jannali Avenue / Mitchell Avenue and Railway Crescent. The widening of the entrances allows ramp access for wheelchairs and prams leading to the platform.
